Volunteers Needed for 2020 Season - Role Information

Here is the list of roles we still need volunteers for: (Jan 4, 2020)

Chair and Vice Chair of Scheduling - These roles work together and are responsible for creating all house league schedules and uploading of all external league schedules/results. We have a pretty good system in place for these. Activity level is heavy in April/May. Providing support to tournament planning is required. There is some additional work throughout the winter with planning of winter training and bookings, and attending League meetings, but the majority is in April/May. This role does remain busy throughout the ball season from May - August. 

Chair of Sponsorship - This role may be best suited to someone that is in sales or enjoys meeting our local business owners and asking for their support. This role is busy from October - March as most sponsors for the upcoming season need to be secured by March. Phone calls, door knocking, and emails are all a part of trying to get us new sponsors. Additional support will be given by other executive members who also like this type of work. This person would create a list of targets and oversee the people responsible for reaching out. 

Chair of Tournaments - This is a new role. This person will work with Scheduling, Umpires and the Chair of Volunteers to make sure all tournaments are planned and organized in advance. This person will likely form a subcommittee to help plan each of these events. Role would start (advertising) likely in March/April for some events, with the work and planning to take place throughout the ball season from May to August.
